Brett Stover

Longtime Cincinnati Opera board member Brett Stover attended his first opera on a rush ticket while a student at Miami University. After experiencing incredible productions of Aida, La Bohème, and Carmen, and attending lectures by the dazzling “story lady” Ruth de Blasis, he was hooked to become the opera lover he is today. Through the magnifying lens of opera, he saw where human rights, education, performing, and visual arts join and benefit all. This became a compelling passion to advance many arts causes and to volunteer for so many initiatives, including leading a strategic planning process for Cincinnati Opera and co-founding ArtsWave Pride, the first organization of its kind in the United States. Brett is eternally grateful to Patty Beggs, our ultimate Pride supporter. Her inclusive and loving leadership of the Cincinnati Opera Family has forever changed the tri-state region. Love Always Wins.
